Loki & Marie and the rest of the Paws & Play team are active people who love going outside for walks and hikes as much as we love cuddles from furry friends. We have flexible schedules and have many happy clients who call us whenever they plan their next vacations. We are professional and reliable. We are animal people and love giving your pets the best care!
Our experience
You name it, we’ve done it! We have experience with dogs old and young, large and small, able bodied and special needs, mutts and purebreds, friendly and reactive. We’ve also tended to rodents, birds, cats, horses, pigs, and chicken. Although Marie started pet sitting when she was 12, she started doing this more seriously in 2019 and now we have grown to have return clients all over the valley. Both Loki and Marie are trained in Pet First Aid & CPR.

We love sending our pup to Paws & Play! They take care of him like he’s their own – we even joke that Marie and Loki are his second family. He plays with his buddies all day, goes on hikes, and has a blast. Marie and Loki clearly care so much about their furry charges, and post videos and photos throughout the day so we can see how he’s doing. We love Paws & Play!

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take last minute bookings?
YES. But we still need you to fill out a booking request form. You’ll get an automatic email back and once you have your confirmation email, we will be all set! If it’s day-of, call us to make sure we are home and not out with the dogs.
Do you have any discounts?
Return clients and clients paying with cash receive discounts. Lastly, we have referral discounts – if you refer someone and they tell us and end up booking with us, you get $30 off!
Do you provide scheduled weekly walks at my house?
While we do not do individual walks, we have a 12 passenger van and take the dogs out for hikes daily! Prices start as low as $30 for off-leash dogs and $40 for leashed dogs. It includes pickup and drop off from your house, and about an hour hike. Please see the group walks/hikes page for more info.
My dog is leash aggressive, can you handle that?
Absolutely, we have experience with dogs of all personality types. We use strategies recommended by professional dog trainers. We have a number of dogs who are GREAT with other dogs off-leash, but aren’t as good of a fit on-leash, and that’s fine.
How does billing work?
We accept cash, Venmo, or checks, and Zelle. We offer a 5% discount for cash payment and do prefer cash. Pay upon arrival.
Are there opportunities for my dog to go off leash?
Yes, we often do off-leash hikes! We do not guarantee these opportunities each day. It depends on the weather, group of dogs, and our availability, etc.
